About the Teleférico

Who are we?

The Teleférico Benalmádena offers a high altitude journey on an exclusive cable car ride that starts in Benalmádena and takes you to the top of Monte Calamorro. Once at the top, the Teleférico provides a range of clearly signposted trails through the countryside leading to strategic lookout points where you can enjoy the most spectacular views of the Costa del Sol, the Sierra Nevada and, on clear days, Gibraltar and the coast of Africa.

Enjoy a bird's eye view of the Malaga coastline and discover the most spectacular panoramic views in the only cable car on the Costa del Sol. A trip into the sky in comfortable, modern cable cars equipped with an audio guide that take you between Benalmádena and the top of Monte Calamorro, where you can enjoy the most spectacular views and exclusive hiking trails through a natural environment full of Mediterranean mountain plants and wildlife.

On a clear day, you can see the coast of Africa from the top of Monte Calamorro. The Teleférico de Benalmádena was inaugurated in 2000 and has since become one of the main tourist attractions on the Costa del Sol.

The experience of going up in the cable car and passing through the clouds until we reach our destination on Monte Calamorro where various activities await us, will not take us more than 15 minutes... once at the top, we can go hiking and take fantastic photographs from this exceptional location. There are also falconry displays involving different species of birds.

After an intense day in the mountains, we can relax, rest or have something to eat in the restaurant.

Each cable car can accommodate up to 4 people, you can buy a return ticket or, if you prefer to hike the trails, you can buy a one-way ticket and enjoy a pleasant walk back down.

It is an absolute must if you come to the Costa del Sol.
