Operating rules

Safety is a shared responsibility. Visitors to the Benalmádena Cable Car (hereinafter, the “Cable Car”) are expected to exercise sound judgment and to act responsibly in order to safeguard both their own health and safety and that of persons in their care, in particular minors, for whom they are responsible and whom they must supervise at all times.

To that end, visitors (i) must READ, COMPLY WITH AND OBSERVE all rules, directions, warnings and recommendations issued by Cable Car staff, and (ii) make PROPER AND RESPONSIBLE USE of the leisure facilities and any safety equipment that may be made available to them.

Each visitor undertakes to behave in a civic and considerate manner and agrees to (i) treat other visitors, Cable Car staff and the facilities with due respect, and (ii) preserve and respect the flora and fauna of the surrounding environment.

Visitors who, in the assessment of Cable Car staff, fail to comply with the rules and instructions and/or behave irresponsibly and/or disrespectfully towards other visitors and/or staff may be required to leave the Cable Car facilities without entitlement to any refund. In addition, where such visitors hold any season pass for leisure parks operated by GRUPO PARQUES REUNIDOS (“Bono Parques”), the measures provided for in the General Terms and Conditions of that product may be applied, including withdrawal or cancellation of the Bono Parques for serious breaches, or temporary withdrawal or suspension of the Bono Parques for minor breaches.

Finally, please note that the Cable Car reserves the right to report such conduct to the competent authorities, where appropriate.

Please consult the general operating rules set out below, as well as the specific guidelines and rules displayed at the entrance to each leisure facility.

In particular, visitors who are responsible for persons who—either because they are minors or because they have a disability—are unable to read or properly understand the rules, directions, warnings and/or recommendations must explain them and reiterate them whenever necessary, without prejudice to any assistance that Cable Car staff may provide. The Cable Car makes available specific information for visitors with disabilities.

Therefore, visitors must act responsibly both for their own health and safety and for that of the persons in their care and of the other people around them

NOTICE: Please assess your physical condition and personal circumstances before using the facilities.

The Cable Car facilities may provide visitors with enjoyable and memorable experiences; however, they may also involve a level of physical exertion and heightened sensation, particularly for persons who are sensitive to heights.

THEREFORE, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT PARTICIPATE—NOR ALLOW ANY PERSON IN YOUR CARE TO PARTICIPATE—in ANY ATTRACTION OR ACTIVITY IF YOU ARE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL, MEDICATION OR ANY OTHER NARCOTIC SUBSTANCE THAT MAY AFFECT HEALTH, THE SENSES, MENTAL ALERTNESS, REFLEXES AND COORDINATION.

DO NOT PARTICIPATE—NOR ALLOW ANY PERSON IN YOUR CARE TO PARTICIPATE—in ANY ATTRACTION OR ACTIVITY IF YOU SUFFER FROM, HAVE SUFFERED FROM, OR BELIEVE YOU MAY SUFFER FROM ANY MEDICAL CONDITION, PRE-EXISTING HEALTH PROBLEM OR INJURY, INCLUDING—WITHOUT LIMITATION—HEART, NEUROLOGICAL, MUSCULAR, BACK, NECK, BONE, JOINT, TENDON, LIGAMENT, BRAIN, EYE OR EAR INJURIES, OR ANY OTHER ILLNESS OR INJURY THAT COULD BE TRIGGERED OR WORSENED BY USE OF THE CABLE CAR FACILITIES OR BY PARTICIPATION IN ANY ACTIVITY.

YOU MUST ALSO NOT USE THE FACILITIES—UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED—IF YOU ARE (OR SUSPECT YOU MAY BE) PREGNANT; IF YOU HAVE UNDERGONE SURGERY IN RECENT MONTHS; OR IF YOU ARE STILL CONVALESCING OR RECOVERING FROM ANY ILLNESS, AILMENT, TREATMENT OR MEDICAL PROCEDURE. ONLY YOU CAN DETERMINE WHETHER YOU ARE PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY FIT TO PARTICIPATE SAFELY IN AN ATTRACTION OR OTHER ACTIVITY.

THE PARK CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR HEALTH—OR THAT OF THE PERSONS IN YOUR CARE. YOU MUST DETERMINE THAT YOU—AND/OR THE PERSONS IN YOUR CARE—ARE IN AN APPROPRIATE STATE AND CONDITION TO USE THE PARK’S FACILITIES, AND THAT YOU MEET THE AGE, WEIGHT AND HEIGHT LIMITATIONS SET OUT IN THE OPERATING RULES.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU ASSUME THE RISKS INHERENT IN ANY ACTIVITY IN WHICH YOU ELECT TO PARTICIPATE. SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, OUR STAFF WILL BE PLEASED TO ASSIST YOU.

A) Access and use rules and circumstances

1. The Park’s overall capacity, as well as that of its individual facilities, is limited.
2. Entry to the Park grounds with bicycles, roller skates, scooters and similar items is permitted; however, such items must be left in the area designated for that purpose by staff.
3. For safety reasons, pets are not permitted within the Park, except for duly accredited assistance animals, without limitation as to weight or size, upon presentation of the relevant documentation. At the top of Mount Calamorro, such animals must be kept on a leash and handled so that they do not pose a risk to persons, local wildlife, or the animals that form part of the birds of prey presentation. Animals are not permitted in the birds of prey presentation area or on the walkway above the stands.
4. The Park provides specific information for visitors with disabilities.
5. Some attractions, restaurants, shops and/or pastimes may remain closed for organizational or technical reasons, which may include maintenance, repair, upgrading and/or improvement operations, as well as for weather-related reasons that make opening impossible or inadvisable for safety reasons, or due to the attractions’ technical limitations in the event of rain, hail, snow, wind or temperature changes. The Park will try to provide as much advance notice as possible via its website, its official social media profiles and the Park’s information points.
6. Show schedules are provided for guidance only and may be modified at any time. Accordingly, the Park reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel, in whole or in part, the scheduled shows, including the complete or partial removal or alteration of certain scenes, elements, acts or acrobatics, where technical, operational, safety, weather-related or any other reasons arise which, in its sole discretion, make their performance impossible or inadvisable.
7. All types of sales and the distribution of leaflets, flyers or products are prohibited within the Park facilities, except for those expressly authorized.
8. Please check the closing time to ensure your return to the base station—if you wish—before the Cable Car makes its last trip.
9. For safety reasons, access restrictions to the Park may apply. Please ask at the entrance about any applicable access restrictions.
10. The Park has duly accredited photographers who, if you wish, can take photographs at the entrance or during your visit. In all cases, photographs are intended solely as a keepsake for visitors. Photographs not purchased by the visitor will be destroyed at the end of the day, with no possibility of recovery. You can obtain information at the photography stand, where you can view and purchase photographs. Under no circumstances will photographs be sold to persons other than those appearing in them or persons related to them. It is strictly prohibited to photograph or record the images displayed at the viewing and sales points. The Park is not responsible for photographs or videos that visitors may take personally during their visit, provided that they are for private, domestic use and are outside the Park’s control. 11. Please note that the Park aims to ensure visitors enjoy the fullest possible experience and to keep the facilities in proper hygienic and clean conditions; therefore, consumption of food and drink is not permitted outside the areas designated for this purpose. The restaurant terraces are for the exclusive use of customers who have purchased their food from any of the Park’s dining establishments.
12. Bringing food and/or drinks into the Park and/or consuming them inside the cabins is not permitted.
13. Minors under 14 years of age are not allowed to enter unless accompanied by an adult who assumes responsibility for their custody and behavior.

B) Safety rules

1. The sale, distribution and consumption of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products are strictly prohibited for persons under 18 years of age.
2. For safety reasons, the Park reserves the right for duly authorized staff to inspect backpacks, handbags, bags or other luggage in the cases and within the limits established by law. Glass containers or cans are not allowed, as they pose a safety risk to visitors.
3. Visitors must exercise due care with respect to their personal belongings. The Park is not responsible—due to causes not attributable to the Park, its facilities or its staff—for any loss, theft, misappropriation or damage that may occur during the visit.
4. Smoking (including vapes and electronic cigarettes) is prohibited in all areas of the Cable Car, except in areas specifically designated for this purpose, which will be clearly signposted. The Cable Car reserves the right to expel from the premises any person who, having been requested by staff to comply with this rule, continues to fail to do so.
5. The use of drones is not permitted in the Park.

C) Rules on tickets and passes

1. The ticket price, or where applicable the Bono Parques price, is refundable only in the cases provided for by applicable law.
2. Your Cable Car Benalmádena ticket, or where applicable the corresponding Bono Parques, must be kept for the entire time you are on the premises and must be shown to staff upon request. The Park reserves the right to expel from the premises any person who is inside without a valid admission ticket and/or a valid Bono Parques.
3. If your ticket includes a free companion, they must enter at the same time as the holder and on the holder’s first entry to the premises.
4. Certain attractions, services, shows and/or pastimes within the Park facilities are not included in the admission ticket price. For further information, please enquire at the information point at the entrance or consult the Park website.

D) Rules of conduct

1. As a matter of courtesy and respect for others, visitors must not cut in line or reserve places for other persons. Please observe the queue and await your turn.
2. In order to ensure that all visitors may enjoy the facilities, at the end of the ride you must exit by following staff instructions and the route established for that purpose. In order to use the ride again, you must re-join the queue.
3. Visitors must take care of their belongings at all times and are strongly advised not to leave them unattended. The Park is not responsible—due to causes not attributable to the Park, its facilities or its staff—for any deterioration or loss of visitors’ belongings.
4. It is forbidden to take photographs and/or videos in the Park that show conduct, gestures, clothing, symbols and/or accessories that are disrespectful, obscene, unlawful, racist, xenophobic, or that in any other way violate human dignity or are inappropriate in a family and children’s leisure context and/or breach the Park’s operating rules. Likewise, the Park reserves the right not to take and/or sell photographs and/or videos in which such conduct is observed.
5. The Park does not have a public address system for broadcasting personal messages.

E) Breaches

The Park reserves the right of admission and the right to expel persons from its facilities, without any right to compensation, where visitors are refused entry or expelled for seriously breaching the rules listed herein. In addition, if such visitors hold a Bono Parques pass, measures may be applied consisting of withdrawal or cancellation of the Bono Parques for serious breaches, or temporary withdrawal or suspension of the Bono Parques for minor breaches, in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of this product.

Likewise, and without prejudice to the foregoing, the Park reserves in particular the right to refuse admission to or expel from its facilities any persons who seriously breach the rules listed below or who fall under any of the following circumstances:

1. Serious disturbance of order in the Park or its facilities, or the commission of any crime or offence therein.
2. Failure to comply with the rules for use and safety of the facilities, or with the instructions given by team members in this regard.
3. Improper use of tickets or the Bono Parques (including fraudulent, deceptive or bad-faith use by the holder and/or resale or forgery thereof). Only tickets purchased at authorized points of sale will be valid.
4. Committing acts of vandalism or causing damage to the facilities or to employees’ belongings.
5. Conduct that inconveniences or seriously affects the enjoyment of other visitors and/or staff.
6. Leaving minors and persons with disabilities in your care unattended, especially if they engage in the conduct described in the preceding sections.
7. The use, sale or distribution of any drug or narcotic substance within the Park premises and/or facilities is strictly prohibited. The Park will immediately expel any person who breaches this rule and will notify the competent authorities.
8. Persons who show clear signs of being intoxicated, or any other circumstance from which it may reasonably be inferred that they may disturb public order or civic peace.
9. Failure to comply with staff directions or with the usage rules established for attractions, where this may put at risk the physical integrity of the user or third parties.

Please review, in advance, any operational changes and any areas closed within the Park.
